Is it legal to sell and buy cannabis in Thailand?

Since June 9th, 2022, cannabis has been completely removed from Thailand's list of controlled drugs. It is now classified as a controlled herb.

This means that it is legal to do the following:

• Grow and Cultivate cannabis
• Consume cannabis on private property
• Buy and sell cannabis

There are however certain restrictions and limitations to this. The following is currently still illegal:

• Produce cannabis extracts that contains more than 0.2% THC
• Consume cannabis in public
• Buy and consume cannabis if you are under the age of 20
• Buy and consume if you are pregnant and/or breast feeding
